Katie Kendall Erickson grew up in the Northwest coast of Washington State where she was first exposed to and developed a love for oil painting. While pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Brigham Young University – Hawai’i on Oahu she developed a particular interest in art history and how certain elements found in paintings were reflections of the conditions of the era, situations, and lifestyles of people during those times. Katie devotes her time to contemplating the human condition and creating paintings of figures amid moments of personal growth and refinement in life.

Katie’s work has been displayed in the 2018 BYU-Hawai’i Portrait Show, the 2019 Colors of Humanity juried exhibition “Human Nature”, and in her 2019 BFA show at BYU-Hawai’i campus.
